I went to yoga last night, and did okay. My back’s been bothering me, off and on for about a week. My yoga practice is supposed to help strengthen my core to support my back. Today I can barely stand. I didn’t injure myself during the yoga class. I’m just hurting. I know that eventually this will all pay off. I’m just going to go through a lot of ibuprofen in the mean time.

Reporting on the progress of the kim chee, the CO2 bubbles are no longer appearing, so I’m guessing that the fermentation process has stopped. This is Day 6 for the kim chee, and I’ve put it in the fridge to stop/slow the fermentation. It’s just spicy and stinky enough to get my blood moving. The main difference between the first and second batches was the size of the pieces of vegetables, so maybe that is why it is no longer bubbling.

If you have had experience with making kim chee and have some insights to share, please do!
