Getting Back on Track

I’m getting back onto the raw vegan lifestyle horse. I posted to my personal blog about it on September 11th: An Aspiring Raw Vegan in Portland.

I will be resuming my weigh-ins and measurements this year, and posting those results so that you may follow my progress along this path.

Below are two sets of measurements. The first is the most recent from last week, the Week 0 weigh-in, and the second is from the end of 2008, 15 months ago, the last time I weighed in. Wh

I am very pleased that my weight has gone up only 7.4 pounds in 15 months of ignoring my exercise and diet. I am truly amazed. Even though I didn’t feel my clothes get any tighter during that time, I was certain that I was way off track.

Week 0 (2010) Weigh-In
Weight: 334.2, %Body Fat: 39.4, %H2O: 44.2, Bone Density: 8.8
Fasting Blood Sugar: 106mg/dL
(-42.8# and -2.3%BF since 1/1/08)

October 20, 2008 (last weigh-in)
Weight: 326.6, %Body Fat: 39.0 (-3.5% Total), %H2O: 45.5, Bone Density: 8.8
Fasting Blood Sugar this Week: High of 123, Low of 92, Average of 109mg/dL
(-51.0# Total, -6.8# this week, Avg. -1.2#/week)

January 8, 2008 (first weigh-in)
Weight: 377.6, %BF: 42.2, %H2O: 42.1, BD: 9.2

Hi, I followed you here from twitter (@Hanlie) and thought I’d mention the Raw Food Rehab community to you… They have a wonderful weight loss initiative. I’m fairly new to raw food, but enjoying it very much and hoping to lose lots of weight.
