(Day 2 – 364 To Go) January 2, 2008
I start most mornings off with a green smoothie. My morning green smoothies have a relatively consistent set of raw organic ingredients, here they are:
Young coconut meat and water
Banana, or apple, or pear, or mango
Red chard
Collards
Flat leafed/Italian parsley
Purple kale
Red kale
Green kale
Spinach
Celery
Raisins, dates or agave (if it needs some sweetening)
Hemp Protein Powder
Ground flax
Nutritional yeast
Bee pollen
Kelp
Coconut butter (when I don’t have a coconut)
Frozen coconut water cubes (when I don’t have a coconut)
Raw powdered greens (just in case I missed something)
Apple cider vinegar
ph10 water ice cubes
I start by blending the fruit and coconut meat and milk. I then add the supplements. I then chop up the greens and add them one by one. I taste it to see if it needs some sweetening, then add either dates, raisins or agave. It tastes much better to me cold, so I usually add some ice cubes.
I drink it slowly in 12oz glasses throughout the morning. I keep the blender pitcher in the refrigerator between glasses. Green smoothies are a great way to start the day.

I’m just starting out – today is my day one. I’m going to start with simpler recipes and ingredients. Any tips/websites would be helpful. I’m obviously going to read on through your blog. Thanks.
Congratulations! I have found Victoria Boutenko’s RawFamily.com/recipes.
