MyRawYear is my way to make my year of eating 100% raw food fun for me. It is my intention that you find my daily entries engaging and useful, or at least fun.

In October of 2007 I received blood test results that my doctor said were on the way to the danger zone, and that I would probably develop diabetes if I didn’t take some drastic steps. His first recommendation was surgery. His second recommendation was pharmaceuticals.

I thought about my options for several days and then decided to do what I had heard works to reverse (or cure) diabetes, a 100% raw food diet. I had done 90 days raw about two years ago and knew that I could do it. I wanted to do it for a calendar year, 2008. I wanted to taste all of my favorite cooked foods in November and December, and I did that.

On January 1, 2008 I embarked on my 100% raw food lifestyle adventure. I welcome you here. Please comment on my posts. Please use my recipes and suggest your own. Please utilize the resources that you find here, and learn as much as you can about the benefits of living raw.

At some point this year we will have the ability to allow others who are on their own raw journeys to have their own MyRawYear.com blogs. Stay tuned!
