Raw Vegan Mango Lassi

by thubten on May 28, 2011

I was watching Jamie Oliver, The Naked Chef, on Netflix today and decided to make a mango lassi after watching him make one that looked SO delicious.

I just happened to have some fresh organic mangoes and some of my home made cultured coconut cream in the kitchen, so I was very fortunate.

The recipe for this mango lassi is beyond easy:

3c mango chunks
1c cultured coconut cream

Blend until smooth.

I will follow up with a post on how to culture fresh coconut.

Bella, thank you for your comment. I do my best to avoid animal based foods, so cultured cream or milk is something that I wouldn’t do in my own kitchen. That being said, if you are going to consume animal milk, culturing it would be better than not.
