Juice Feast Day 3

The other day someone posted a comment/question about the Eat Right for Your Blood Type foods and how someone living the “living foods” lifestyle would interact with that body of knowledge. My comments are below:

I found the D’Adamo book in a friend’s library about eleven years ago. When I ate the recommended diet, I shed 50# in just months and then plateaued. I decided to go to the D’Adamo clinic in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, received an exam and was given a very personal diet for my O/A blood type. I proceeded to shed another 50# in a few months. I felt healthy and well on this diet. It really worked for me.

Since then I have continued to study health and nutrition and found raw food a few years ago. I shifted toward raw food, but kept eating raw or dehydrated beef and sushi-grade fish. After reading The China Study I saw that although I responded well to the D’Adamo blood type diet, I could not continue eating so much meat, and stay healthy.

I know that many of the raw food gurus have type-O blood, and that they are doing just fine. That doesn’t discount the experience that people have around the D’Adamo practices. It’s a matter of personal choice, what works for you.
