To Chef, or not to Chef!?

I’ve been regularly asked by my friends whether I’m a chef, since I’ve been whipping up some amazingly tasty raw treats lately. I am not a raw chef. I am a mean cook, but I don’t cook for myself any longer. I love to experiment with food preparation. I have had this passion since I was young. I used to whip up peanut butter and banana “shakes.” I put many other things into those shakes. I am reminded of the good old days whenever I prepare a green smoothie.

One day I will become an actual raw chef. I have several friends who have gone to school to learn how to properly prepare raw food. I usually start with a recipe as base camp, and then go from there. I will prepare the same dish several days in a row, even several weeks in a row, playing with flavor combinations to see how the recipe can be improved, at least for my palate. I will surely be dangerous once I get home from raw chef school, some day.
